Romlee Eco Gardens are a husband and wife team, and have been in business for the past 8 years. Our eco conscious grew stronger when we could see what was happening around us. Being out in it, we really felt the changes in the weather and saw what was happening to the gardens in front of our eyes. We knew we had to do something about it. As the current drought came out and slapped us on the face, we knew we needed to change the focus of our business. We needed to promote drought tolerant gardens, change peoples thinking about water wise gardens and hopefully provide some insights and educate people in what we know. Of course we are learning all the time as the climate changes around us and presents new challenges. Self taught, our qualifications and experience are life. We have worked in the gardening industry for a number of years now, and have always had a passion for it. The bookshelf is full, the internet is a fantastic resource, but there’s nothing quite like hands on experience. It never quite happens like the books! Every job is a new experience, with it’s own set of challenges and learning curves. Thankfully that’s the case, otherwise where would the fun be? We love colour, as you can see from our website, and want to show that a drought tolerant garden isn’t boring, it’s just looking at plants in a different way. Appreciating their foliage, their shape, their colour and not having to water them. The last thing I wanted to be doing last summer was outside watering, so why water if you don’t need to. It is our number one resource that is at threat currently. By creating a waterwise garden we hope it inspires you to take a look around and see where else you can help reduce your carbon footprint. Our Work Ethic It is a policy of Romlee Eco Gardens to supply all plants and materials at cost price. Landscaping is a costly undertaking, so we choose to pass on the savings to you. We personally pick out your plants ensuring only quality plants are purchased. All our irrigation is commercial grade, so you can rest assured there will be no problems for a very long time. Every garden is enriched with Organic Compost and rotary hoe to ensure the earth is at it's best at the time of planting, ensuring your plants get the best possible start and will thrive for years to come. All gardens are topped with a thick layer of mulch to conserve water, suppress weeds and visually enhance the plantings. The layer of mulch we provide will not need replenishing for at least two years. We do allow a contingency for all our work, giving you peace of mind that the quoted price won’t increase once the work begins. However at times things can go horribly wrong, as you have no idea what is under the surface until you begin. If this does turn out to be the case we will cost what the extra work and materials will be for your approval before continuing. This is a rare event. We take a lot of pride in the work we do, and it shows in our attention to detail and quality of our work. You can be rest assured that your property will be left as we found it, with the exception of a beautiful new garden to be enjoyed and admired for many years to come. Enjoy the day, Romeo and Lee-Ann

Composting confusing? Find a patch in the garden. Dig a hole. Fill with kitchen scraps, with the exception of meat, dairy and citrus. Cover the hole with the soil you dug out. Your composting!
